I'm just about to start the #DALMOOC course on EdX, so I'm opening up a new blog on my website to post reflections and links to interesting things, places or people that come up.
The tools for the data analysis part look interesting - I'm looking forward to Lightside in particular as I've never done any textual analysis before and I like the idea of automated formative marking.
The other feature I'll be interested in using is ProSolo which appears to broker all my social media interaction.
I guess I come to the course with a couple of pre-conceptions that may of not be disproved. The first I'm prepared to share is that intent is hard to establish from Learner Analytics. I don't like the idea of basing decisions that affect a learner based on machine-based decisions. I happen to think that the best us of Leaner Analytics is to find out what questions are worth asking.
